Max Payne 3 multiplayer review/overview

This is Max Payne's 1st entry into the next gen. systems and I must say I am surprised at how entertaining this game is. Now at this point I'm not going to speak about the campaign, but instead I'm going to focus on the multiplayer; which is the part I found most enjoyable. The game's multiplayer plays alot like GTA 4 multiplayer except this games gameplay mechanics are more refined. The cover system is excellent you tap x and whatever you want to hide behind and you take cover. You can then choose to aim or blind fire behind cover. You can also do a roll by double tapping the A button. The A button is also used to run. The weapons are balanced almost all of them do the same damage. The only difference I noticed was in the fire rate, range, and accuracy. The weapons level up the more you get  kills with them and this allows you to unlock attachments for them. Things like bigger magazines or other attachments that give the gun more accuracy or damage. I would recommend accuracy over damage for the weapons unless the weapon has high accuracy already. You can carry up to two one handed weapons that range from revolvers to smg's and yes you can dual weild them. You can only carry one two handed weapon though. You do have a weight limit though, so you can't just carry the best set up around. If you do go over the weight limit it slows down your health and stamina regenartion rate in the game. The game has a very good selection of weapons you can choose from and you unlock weapons by leveling up in rank. You can also customize your avatar's look, purely cosmetic and you can also customize your armor. There are up to five slots of customizable armor you can unlock. These armor unlocks are not purely cosmetic they help you in game, but they do carry weight with them. Right now I'm using a helmet that reduces headshot damage to me by 50%, a bullet proof vest and a band-aid that allows my health to regen faster. I have only unlocked 3 slots. I have 2 more to go. You unlock armor slots by leveing up your rank. The game has many multiplayer modes you unlock by ranking up and all of them are fun. Also, you must buy all of the equipment in the game. You get money by accomplishing challenges in the game, looting bodies, or settling vendettas. Vendettas are when an enemy kills you or someone on your team 2 or more times in a row. The person who kills this person who is on a killing streak gets double the xp. I thought this was an intersting twist in the game's multiplayer. The level design is very good. The multiplayer maps are spacious and fun to play in. There are no to many maps though. I think I remember like 5 or 6 maps in all. You can also you adrelanine powers in the game. Bullet time is my favorite as you slow down time and dive either towards or away from an enemy. While in bullet time I suggest you aim for the enemies head as two head shots will kill them. Another thing I noticed is you die with one melee hit, so make sure no one gets close to you.The controls are pretty easy to get used to as well. All in all the multiplayer is very enjoyable and I recommend you give it a try. If I had to put a number on the games execution I would give this game easily a 9/10 as far as the multiplayer goes. The game has many days of fun to offer.
